Question: Book I read 5+ years ago true story-Rich girl live/partys/murdered in guest house behind parents house during the summer.

Teens party in this girls guest house where she lives basically without
parentally supervison. Her and her friends meets guy/s from bad side of
the tracks so to speak and they party all summer long drinking, doing
drugs, having sex. Kid eventually kills all the kids they party with
during the summer and then steals a car and runs off to another state or
somewhere.

I think its a true crime story and I remember the back mentioned something
about the author sitting in back of the court room and writing the book
during the trial. The book also has photos in it and possible took place
in California.
