Question: A toffee nosed princess? something about a giant worm- 1998ish

I first read this in primary school in the 90's, it had a snotty princess
in it and something to do with a giant worm or catepillar type creature. It
was funny and cute but i cant remember the exact title. I think there may
have been more than one story in the book, it wasnt very big.
