Question: Amish Children's Fiction - book about a girl named Maddie with blue cover

Home » Children's Books » #22246

Asked by archaeocici on Wed 02, Aug 2017 07:04am :
My mom gave me this book in the early to mid 90s. The cover was light blue
with a little Amish girl in a bonnet, and I'm pretty sure her name, Maddie,
was part of the title.

I remember the book describing her chores as an Amish girl. Also that an
"English" family came to visit and the kids were bored by her plain wooden
toys. I believe there was also a bit about another new baby also being
named Madeline after their grandmother or someone in the family, and Maddie
being so proud to be her namesake.
